This week on Soul 2 Soul; we develop our Inner Vision!
We follow in the trail seeded 2 weeks ago by Terence McKenna, by exploring the Inner Vision!
Imagination, which can also be called inner vision, is a gift that has many positive applications, particularly when used to access levels of awareness which transcend that of what many refer to as 'every day physical reality'.
Often we find that the Imagination is not well-developed or correctly used by many, as it has receive a somewhat bum rap over the years from conventional society.
'Oh its only your imagination!' Has become a commonly used form of put down over recent years, which reinforces the idea that somehow this realm of awareness is some how a negative place to dwell and yet we turn to our artists & musicians to inspire and move us and their natural environment is that of the imagination or the Inner Vision.
No wonder so many Artists feel the duality of feeling loved and rejected all at the same time and thus struggle to exist within society. Perhaps this explains why so much of our art has become 'user friendly' and 'pleasant' rather than morally challenging?
Few people possess the ability to control what enters their minds.
Which is what the Artists; the poets, the songwriters, the musicians, the painters, those of unique inner visualized motivation; already have access to, through their Inner Vision development, which has been cultivated thru the expression of their art.
If we are to take Terrance at his word, then I think that it is not only the artists who should shoulder the responsibility of this new world vision to come forward, but becomes a challenge for us all to develop and/or be receptive to this inner vision.
The master observes the world
but trusts his inner vision.
He allows things to come and go.
He prefers what is within to what is without.
