Consider the seekers, those who look to find, to discover, to attain Enlightenment!
They come in many forms, in many varieties. Some are known as pilgrims, others worshippers, devotees, believers, travelers, wayfarers, but what matter names; These individuals wish to arise their consciousness to a state where energy and matter manifestations become merely a projection of thought, of will!
Some seek God, some seek themselves. For some the two are the same!
Being a Seeker is for many a way of life, often a humble and sacred journey.
Its not normally taken on as just a hobby, being a seeker of any kind is a serious business!
So what happens when a seeker becomes a finder?
Think about that for a moment...
Not only does the seeker experience the attainment of their goal in that moment of enlightenment, they also experience a loss. For they are no longer a seeker. That chapter is now at an end.
All that they were is now over, they must by definition change. Whatever rituals or routines they had developed as part of the seekers lifestyle must all now change too.
What does it change too? What does a former seeker, now a finder do everyday?
Where and how do they live? Do they work or have to earn a living? Is there a special place were all finders must go? How does one discover the answers to these and other questions?
Maybe its part of the enlightening process to suddenly have all these answers.
What if it didn't. What if you became enlightened but didn't know what to do next?
Could it be that even at this level of awareness, self sabotage can raise its fear driven head to reject the 'Found' to remain in the embrace of the known and understood roll of the 'Seeker'.
Can enlightenment be suppressed to allow one to stay in the illusion of separation?
Well yes, because according to just about all spiritual texts, we are spirit (a part of all that is) living a life in this illusion of physical manifestation and separateness by choice!
So all of us at some stage in our soul existence chose to come here to experience this detachment from the greater awareness of who we really are. The reasons why are many and varied, but by choice we are here.
So maybe its healthy to self sabotage, if we chose this veil of forgetfulness as part of the conditions of being here in the first place, then maybe its wrong to seek something that we will naturally eventually return too. So maybe there's no point in seeking anything, maybe its all just a selfish waste of time, 'the soul longing to go home and not embracing its physical journey'!
However the drive to be a seeker is strong in many and growing stronger all the time in people worldwide and that's a choice of our soul too, to feel this call this drive to want to be enlightened. To come out of the dark and embrace the light of knowing, of being, of oneness!
So maybe self sabotage is actually self sabotage and perhaps the greatest test of all is accepting the attainment of enlightenment when it comes.
To embrace enlightenment and to not fear the change of status from Seeker to Finder to Found!
